Shelly – Pitlochry

Shelly enjoyed a trip to Pitlochry staying in Saoras 1875 which is Scotlands first and finest vegan only hotel. The food served was imaginative and creative, and located near to the Black Spout Woodland Forest walk which leads to a majestic waterfall.

The highlight of Shelly's holiday was visiting the Enchanted Forest set in Faskally Woods.  Hopefully, this fabulous event will return in 2021 for its 20th anniversary event. The Enchanted Forest is renowned for being Scotlands premier sound and light experience attracting visitors from all over the world. Shelly loved seeing all the lights and lasers. Tickets for this year go on sale in June and they always sell out fast so do get in touch if this is something you wish to experience for yourself. The dates this year are 30th September-31st October 2021.

"Anna took my sister away for a short break  to Pitlochry. Anna took great care of my sister and they had a wonderful time together. My sister still talks about the happy memories they created together. Anna is full of energy and is 100% client focused, ensuring they get the best experience and are never held back by their disabilities. This service is a god send for anyone who needs a bit of support to see the world and wants to have amazing travel experiences and create magical memories. Thanks Anna for setting up this life changing organisation."

Ewen – Saundersfoot

Ewen ventured to Saundersfoot so that he could spend his Birthday with his family.  The sun was shining all week for him and he enjoyed lots of South West Wales premier tourist attractions. He enjoyed feeding wallabies at Manor Wildlife Park, Visited Carew Castle and Pembroke Castle, and spent a day at The National Botanic Garden of Wales where he enjoyed watching an eagle whoosh past his legs during the bird show. Tenby and Saundersfoot both have gorgeous beaches, Saundersfoot offering beach wheelchairs to hire during the Summer months.

Cath - Stornoway

Cath took the ferry over to the Isle of Lewis to visit her family. She enjoyed visiting the Callanish Stones, and Blackhouse, and a wheelchair friendly woodland walk in Aline woods. We had lots of fun exploring the Island, stopping at the stunning Uig beaches, and a trip to Tarbert. We can recommend the mocktails served in HS1, and of course no trip to Lewis is complete without stocking up on the famous Stornoway Black pudding.

"I am delighted to be able to reccomend the Travel Buddies services, and the lovely Anna Macleod. The lady I support has been on two holidays so far, with others booked. The Isle of Wight, Belfast and a med cruise coming up. Anna has been very professional and efficient, as well as being lots of fun, and keeps us up to date both before and during the holiday.

Another lady I support had a great holiday to visit family and go to the Heb Celt festival, she said it was the "best holiday ever" and couldn't wait to go again.

We are so lucky to have discovered Anna and Travel Buddies, as there is no provision for assited holidays in our area."
